This series is an alternate universe of Avatar: the Last Airbender set in our world. Zuko is a college student in a relationship with an older man, Hakoda. Insanity ensues.

This universe has gone by many names. Here it is known as the Meet the Kids 'Verse after the first fic I started writing for this 'verse, but have never finished. However, on AO3, it is named Icy Smirk, Fiery Death Glare. (Thanks, Jen)

While the Fire Nation characters have been aged up, (Zuko is 20 or 21 depending on the fic), the rest of the characters have been kept as close to canon age as possible.
